Dear Addict
Hello, and Welcome.
Monday June 23, 2008
volume 1 issue 3
Thank you for your patience while I was unable to get to a computer these past weeks.
Good Morning to all the great CPs at AC.
We have a really good column today thanks to caring people like yourselves placing courage, which sometimes seems almost impossible, first and reaching out to help someone else.
I am continually amazed by how many people thisdiseasedoes effect and yet how many people despite their level ofpainwill still go out of heir way, to help another. What healing power, by just giving something back. These people understand;
An addict is not someone trying too be good cause they are bad, rather just struggling to get well as they, like me, are sick.
I see dear addict beginning to grow, which shows we are helping - together
Our most important message we are providing is that no one should not, and doesn't have to, battle this horificdiseasealone.
I must add, yes I was just in a 30 day rehab program inSan Diegowhich was also tailored to my mental illness. But my real point here, and it is very important; If your struggling with sobriety and your close to 'picking up' again, you don't have to wait to relapse. Rehab is a facility where addicts and alcoholics can go to a safe,drugfreeenvironment, reminding, in a supportive manner, you can staycleanand sober. And find the right direction.
Most Rehab can help you with is information and help you begin getting all your ducks into a row, or if your like me, just getting them in the same pond would be great. LOL
This is Dear Addicts message. Alone you can not (nobody can) do this, but with other recovering addicts and alcoholics in recovery- anything is possible. If you can't reach out with other addicts (and sometimes this is the case), contact someone, anyone, you can always email me privately at dearaddict@gmail.com
Okay, lets go; this issue contains;
